Jake is about 13 ½ years old now and has been in rescue over a year. He would prefer a home but ABR needs to find a sanctuary for this sweet guy to live out his days.

Although there are no guarantees in life for any one of any age, Jake’s time is likely shorter than a younger dog but he is in great shape for a dog his age. He is so well muscled and handsome. He needs someone who can celebrate whatever time he has without letting the cloud of tomorrow ruin today. Jake may be a senior but he is like any other Brittany – he needs love and exercise. Maybe less on the exercise than the young ones but he is still energetic and – yes – he would probably take off after rabbits if he were not on a leashed on his walks.

Jake has the endearing Brittany personality that we all love so much. He is a sweet and friendly guy. He is good with cats and dogs. Jake would enjoy a fenced yard to exercise his Brittany nose and the great smells outdoors. He intently watches the birds flying overhead. He enjoys naps. Jake is potty trained but his owner will need to be diligent about putting him outside to be sure that he goes outside enough to prevent accidents.

Jake is ready to continue his journey on home. If you are a Brittany lover and recognize a good one when you see him, please complete an adoption application and ask for Jake!

History: Jake was found in David City, Nebraska. The authorities were contacted and Jake was held for the requisite amount of time. He was not reclaimed by his owner who knew where Jake was but once again ignored his needs. An angel stepped in to help Jake before he was to be euthanized.
